Safety Drills

In July of 2014, the State of Michigan has passed legislation that requires schools to conduct five fire drills throughout the year, two tornado drills and three lockdown drills.

Additionally, schools are required to conduct at least one drill during lunch or recess periods when students are outside the classroom. Results from completed drills must be posted online for at least three years.

Hesperia Community Schools provides the required information as safety drills are completed throughout the school year.

SVHLogo120_66067_7 The School Violence Hotline provides a means for students to anonymously report specific threats of imminent school violence or other suspicious or criminal conduct. The toll-free hotline will be operational 24-hours per day, 365-days a year, by the Michigan State Police Operations Center.
