Pick up and Drop off Expectations

• Arrival Time:

  • Students should arrive at their designated bus stop at least five (5) minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.

• Young Riders:

  • Students in second (2nd) grade or younger must be met by a parent, guardian, or designated adult at the bus stop. They will not be released without an approved adult present.

• Safe Waiting Distance:

  • Students should wait at least 10–15 feet away from the road or bus stop area until the bus comes to a complete stop and the driver signals it is safe to approach.

• Absences:

  • If your student will not be riding the bus in the morning, please notify the Transportation Office as soon as possible.

  • After three (3) consecutive days of not riding, or a no-call/no-show, the bus will no longer stop at your address until the Transportation Office is notified. This policy helps reduce longer ride times and excess mileage on routes.

• Alternate Drop-Offs:

  • Students are not permitted to ride to an alternate address unless prior approval has been given by the Transportation Office before afternoon departure.
